[0:52] last week we finished chapter number one

[0:54] and as we mentioned at the end of last

[0:56] week we're jumping

[0:58] ahead to chapter four uh chapter two and

[1:01] three

[1:02] i'm going to be preaching a series in

[1:03] our church on sunday night starting the

[1:05] month of october

[1:06] detailing each church we've entitled it

[1:09] letters to the churches

[1:11] but today we're gonna look at revelation

[1:13] chapter four

[1:14] verse number one revelation chapter four

[1:18] verse number one dealing with something

[1:21] that's

[1:21] very very imminent now i know there are

[1:24] a lot of those

[1:25] out there in youtube land that you could

[1:28] ask the question about the rapture

[1:30] and get all sorts of different responses

[1:34] but i believe we can show you in the

[1:36] bible

[1:37] why it is imminent it's not

[1:40] in the middle of the tribulation it's

[1:43] not in the

[1:44] after of the tribulation but it is

[1:47] pre-tribulational and so we're going to

[1:49] show you that in scripture

[1:51] and looking forward to going through our

[1:53] series as we do

[1:54] let's read revelation 4 1. after this i

[1:58] looked and behold a door

[2:00] was opened in heaven and the first voice

[2:03] which i heard

[2:04] was as it were a trumpet talking with me

[2:07] which said come up hither

[2:08] and i will show thee the things which

[2:11] must be

[2:13] hereafter in revelation chapter 1 verse

[2:16] 19

[2:17] we gave the outline i should say we

[2:20] gave the lord gave us the outline for

[2:22] the book of revelation when he gave it

[2:24] to john

[2:25] in revelation 1 19. look at that verse

[2:28] if you would with me

[2:30] write the things which thou has seen and

[2:32] the things which

[2:33] are and the things which shall be

[2:36] hereafter

[2:38] revelation 4 1 is dealing with the

[2:41] rapture of the church

[2:43] now you say preacher the word rapture's

[2:45] not in the bible you're right

[2:47] it's not but what the rapture is the

[2:50] word rapture means a catching away

[2:53] a snatching up that principle

[2:56] is found in the bible you say well you

[2:58] shouldn't take words

[3:00] and put them in the bible to mean

[3:02] different things i said okay

[3:05] you show me the verse that says the word

[3:07] bible in the bible

[3:09] you'll not find it there the word bibles

[3:12] not in the bible the bible the word

[3:14] bible means a collection of books

[3:16] talking of the

[3:17] 66 books themselves and so the word

[3:20] bibles

[3:21] not in the bible the word rapture is not

[3:23] the bible but the principles

[3:25] and the precepts of those two words and

[3:28] their meanings are

[3:29] found all throughout scripture

[3:32] so the rapture we see in revelation 4 1.

[3:36] as i mentioned to you in times

[3:37] videos past you could mark next to this

[3:41] verse the exit of the church the

[3:44] exit of the church that's an important

[3:46] detail we'll give you more of that in

[3:48] just a moment

[3:49] but revelation 4 1's not the only

[3:52] scripture passage talking about the

[3:54] rapture

[3:55] here's some other ones first corinthians

[3:57] 15

[3:58] 51 51-52 behold

[4:01] i show you a mystery we shall not all

[4:04] sleep

[4:04] but we shall all be changed in a moment

[4:08] in the twinkling of an eye at the last

[4:10] trump the trump shall sound

[4:12] and the dead shall be raised

[4:13] incorruptible and we shall be

[4:16] changed first thessalonians 4 13-18

[4:19] probably the most popular

[4:20] rapture reference says in verse 13 but i

[4:23] would not have you

[4:24] to be ignorant brethren concerning them

[4:27] which are asleep

[4:28] that you sorrow not even as others which

[4:31] have no hope

[4:33] for if we believe that jesus died and

[4:35] rose again

[4:36] even so them also which sleep in jesus

[4:38] will god bring with him

[4:40] for this we say unto you by the word of

[4:42] the lord that we which are alive

[4:44] and remain unto the coming of the lord

[4:46] shall not prevent them which

[4:48] are asleep for the lord himself shall

[4:50] descend from heaven with a shout

[4:52] with the voice of the archangel and with

[4:54] the trump of god and the dead in christ

[4:56] shall rise first

[4:57] then we which are alive and remain shall

[4:59] be caught up together with them in the

[5:01] clouds

[5:02] to meet the lord in the air and so shall

[5:05] we

[5:05] ever be with the lord then verse 18

[5:09] says this wherefore comfort one another

[5:12] with these words the timeline the

[5:16] simplified timeline that we gave at the

[5:18] beginning of our series

[5:19] is still true the next thing on god's

[5:22] prophetic calendar

[5:24] is the rapture of the church when that

[5:26] happens the church age will

[5:28] end because the tribulation period

[5:31] has nothing to do with the church

[5:35] the tribulation period has everything to

[5:37] do with israel

[5:39] and the 70th week of daniel now

[5:42] i got questions sent in from those that

[5:45] have watched the videos and one of the

[5:47] questions was

[5:48] pastor adam what's the 70 weeks of

[5:50] daniel and that's a good question

[5:53] if you want me to answer it i'm going to

[5:55] answer it here it is

[5:56] it comes straight from the bible daniel

[5:58] chapter 9 verses 24 through 27

[6:02] 70 weeks are determined upon thy people

[6:05] and upon thy holy city

[6:07] to finish the transgression and to make

[6:09] an end of sins

[6:11] and to make reconciliation for iniquity

[6:13] and to bring in

[6:14] everlasting righteousness and to seal up

[6:17] the vision and prophecy

[6:19] and to anoint the most holy now

[6:22] therefore

[6:22] and understand that from going forth of

[6:25] the commandment

[6:26] to restore and to build jerusalem

[6:29] unto the messiah the prince shall be

[6:32] seven weeks and three score in two weeks

[6:36] the street shall be built again the wall

[6:39] even in troubleless times and after

[6:42] three score in two weeks shall messiah

[6:44] be cut off

[6:45] but not for himself and the people of

[6:47] the prince shall come to

[6:49] shall destroy the city and the sanctuary

[6:52] and the end thereof shall be with the

[6:54] flood and under the end of war

[6:56] the war desolations are determined

[7:00] and he shall confirm the covenant with

[7:02] many for one week

[7:04] and in the midst of the week he shall

[7:05] cause the sacrifice and oblation to

[7:07] cease

[7:08] and for the over spreading of

[7:10] abominations he shall make desolate

[7:12] even until the consummation and that

[7:15] determined shall be poured upon the

[7:17] desolate

[7:18] now i know that's an old testament

[7:20] passage and sometimes you may

[7:22] be confused with what's a picture or

[7:24] what's a type or what's

[7:26] an actual event well the bible describes

[7:30] these 70 weeks now each week

[7:34] represents seven years now

[7:37] in scripture i don't have time today to

[7:39] talk about all of the references of that

[7:42] but we do know for a certainty

[7:45] that each week represents

[7:48] seven years so as we look back into this

[7:51] verse this 70 weeks are determined upon

[7:54] thy people there's

[7:56] some things here i would like to point

[7:57] out to you number one he said to

[8:00] finish transgression in other words

[8:03] within 490 years

[8:05] disobedience of the jews which daniel

[8:08] had just been confessing the prophecy

[8:11] here

[8:12] had just be confessing would be brought

[8:14] to an end

[8:15] and the age of obedience would begin

[8:18] when

[8:18] messiah would reign on the throne of

[8:21] david

[8:22] that's going to happen and it continues

[8:25] on so that's that phrase 70 weeks are

[8:27] determined upon thy people

[8:29] and upon that holy city to finish the

[8:31] transgression

[8:33] secondly and to make an end of sins

[8:36] in the period of 490 years the sins of

[8:38] the jews were to be

[8:40] brought under full restraint

[8:43] in other words they were going to

[8:44] realize who the true messiah was they

[8:46] were going to repent

[8:48] number three it says to make or to make

[8:52] reconciliation

[8:53] for iniquity this condition will be

[8:56] brought to pass through the work of the

[8:58] reconciliation

[8:59] accomplished by jesus christ on the

[9:02] cross of calvary

[9:04] the jews will acknowledge their offense

[9:06] and seek god's face that's in hosea 5

[9:08] 15.

[9:10] so that's the third thing in that verse

[9:12] there in verse number 24.

[9:15] in verse as we mentioned that offense

[9:18] that they seek god's face they look with

[9:20] faith upon the messiah

[9:22] whom they crucified zechariah 12 10.

[9:26] so the jesus's first coming

[9:30] is pivotal it's a wonderful moment

[9:34] in the history of the nation of israel

[9:36] but also in the church

[9:37] and we'll talk about that more here in

[9:39] just a moment

[9:41] it continues on in that verse to bring

[9:44] everlasting righteousness this will come

[9:47] as a result of writing god's law on

[9:49] their hearts jeremiah 31

[9:51] verses 33-40 it continues on to

[9:55] seal up the vision and prophecy where

[9:57] there is no more sin to correct

[9:59] the reproving words of the prophets will

[10:02] be unnecessary jeremiah

[10:04] 31 34 so at the end of 70 weeks

[10:08] sin is going to cease at the end of 70

[10:11] weeks it's going to be restored

[10:14] to the millennial kingdom of jesus

[10:16] christ

[10:18] the last part of there to anoint the

[10:20] most holy

[10:21] with the infill sinful with the end of

[10:23] sinfulness among the jews

[10:25] and the bringing of righteousness a new

[10:27] temple will be anointed

[10:29] or consecrated to divinely worship

[10:32] divine worship

[10:33] the glorious presence of the lord will

[10:35] return to his temple

[10:38] that's just there in verse number 24. in

[10:41] verse 25 it continued on now therefore

[10:43] and understand that from the going forth

[10:45] of the commandment

[10:47] to restore and to build jerusalem unto

[10:50] the messiah the prince shall be

[10:54] seven weeks and three score and two

[10:57] weeks the street shall be built again

[10:59] the wall and even

[11:01] in troubleless times and so we fast

[11:04] forward

[11:05] to when did that happen when was there a

[11:08] time in the nation of israel

[11:10] that that verse prophetically was

[11:13] fulfilled

[11:15] well if you've read the book of nehemiah

[11:17] you know that art exercise in nehemiah 2

[11:20] verses 1 through 8

[11:23] gave permission was granted to rebuild

[11:26] the city

[11:27] of jerusalem this then became the

[11:31] beginning of the prophet

[11:32] the prophetic time appointed by god in

[11:34] this prophecy

[11:36] so at that moment now we're able to date

[11:39] that to march

[11:40] 14th 445

[11:43] bc nehemiah gets that we know that

[11:46] through historical events

[11:48] so nehemiah receives that and they begin

[11:51] to rebuild now

[11:53] as we mentioned seven

[11:56] years for each week 69

[11:59] years 483

[12:03] years later 483

[12:07] years later if you use the jewish

[12:10] calendar which is what the bible was

[12:12] centered upon here

[12:13] of 360 days made up of 12 months which

[12:18] 30 days

[12:19] each we would come to a special

[12:23] sunday that sunday

[12:26] is palm sunday when jesus entered into

[12:30] the city

[12:31] and was rejoiced that the messiah

[12:34] hosanna had come

[12:36] and he publicly presented himself as

[12:39] king of the jews on april 6

[12:41] 32 a.d is the approximate date that we

[12:44] have for that

[12:46] but if you add it all up 483

[12:51] years later jesus declares himself to be

[12:54] messiah

[12:55] fulfilling the prophecy here now it's an

[12:58] interesting thing

[13:00] why then was it not seven years later

[13:05] that he set up his kingdom to rule here

[13:07] upon the earth

[13:09] for some reason there is a break in time

[13:11] so i want you to look at the graph

[13:13] that's up on your screen at this time

[13:15] you'll see it looks like a giant m i

[13:17] made it to look that way for messiah

[13:20] you'll notice the one box at the top

[13:22] peak of the m

[13:24] says messiah's first coming the box on

[13:27] the other side of the

[13:28] m says messiah's ruling when he rules in

[13:32] jerusalem and he will rule

[13:34] and reign in jerusalem

[13:37] you'll notice the green arrow there is

[13:39] israel's point of view

[13:41] as they looked at it they saw from the

[13:43] mountain peak to the mountain peak

[13:46] they did not see the valley in between

[13:49] they saw the mountain peak

[13:50] from mountain peak so the nation is the

[13:53] disciples

[13:54] even in the book of matthew and mark and

[13:56] luke and john

[13:58] asking the questions are you going to

[13:59] bring the kingdom or you're going gonna

[14:01] rule

[14:02] he is but the timing was not appointed

[14:05] to them at that moment

[14:07] you'll notice in the gap there in the

[14:09] middle the box that's there that says

[14:12] the

[14:12] church age i'd like to put it to you

[14:15] this way

[14:16] at the cross of calvary we find that

[14:20] the church was supernaturally injected

[14:23] into the timeline

[14:24] now we know through studying the bible

[14:26] the church came into existence with

[14:28] jesus christ and

[14:30] his followers it began to flourish in

[14:33] the book of acts

[14:34] in fact in acts it tells us that they

[14:36] were added

[14:38] to the church well in order to be added

[14:40] to the church the church

[14:41] had to exist for them to be added to so

[14:44] the church was supernaturally injected

[14:47] into the timeline the church age

[14:49] the age of grace now i've got good news

[14:51] for you

[14:52] the next thing that's going to happen is

[14:54] the church is going to be supernaturally

[14:56] ejected out of here it'll be snatched

[14:59] away

[15:00] caught away in the rapture of the church

[15:04] now one of the keys to understanding

[15:06] daniel's

[15:07] chapter 9 verses 24-27

[15:11] is matthew chapter 24 particularly verse

[15:14] 15

[15:15] when ye therefore shall see the

[15:16] abomination of desolation

[15:18] spoken of by daniel the prophet stand in

[15:21] the holy place

[15:23] whoso readeth let him understand and he

[15:25] goes on to explain what happens

[15:27] in the book of daniel as we mentioned

[15:30] that time frame

[15:32] we failed to mention to you let me go

[15:34] back that the messiah shall be cut off

[15:36] jesus was crucified

[15:38] he resurrected and ascended into heaven

[15:42] and now the people of the prince shall

[15:44] come to destroy the city

[15:46] and the sanctuary and the end thereof

[15:48] shall be with the flood

[15:50] even at the end of war desolations are

[15:53] determined

[15:54] and he talks about in verse 27 and he

[15:56] shall confirm the covenant

[16:17] now let me help you today the rapture of

[16:20] the church

[16:21] and the second coming of christ are two

[16:24] different

[16:24] events the rapture will be caught up

[16:27] together with him in the clouds

[16:30] the second coming is when he returns to

[16:32] earth

[16:33] and all eyes shall see him as it says

[16:36] and so the second coming is different

[16:39] but what is happening now is that the

[16:42] very next thing that could happen

[16:44] at any moment is the snatching away of

[16:47] the church

[16:48] the trump will sound the voice maybe it

[16:51] will say

[16:51] that says in revelation come up hither

[16:54] just as it said to john

[16:56] will say to us perhaps come up hither

[16:59] and we shall all that know the lord

[17:01] jesus christ as savior shall be snatched

[17:03] away

[17:05] but then right after that moment

[17:08] something terrible is going to take

[17:10] place right after the rapture of the

[17:12] church

[17:13] as we mentioned in chapter 4 verse

[17:15] number 1 of revelation

[17:17] which shall be hereafter that's future

[17:19] events

[17:20] in the rest of the book of revelation

[17:23] from chapter 4

[17:24] all the way till chapter 21 the church

[17:27] is gone

[17:28] we're not here the tribulation begins

[17:32] the pouring out of god's wrath it's a

[17:35] terrible time here on earth

[17:37] and right now there's nothing left on

[17:40] the clock

[17:41] it's the fourth quarter it could happen

[17:43] at any moment

[17:45] and we could be out of here so the

[17:47] questions of today

[17:49] that people have the digital currency

[17:53] the microchips the cashless society

[17:58] are all of those things meaning that the

[18:01] tribulation's about to begin

[18:03] i don't believe so but it is a sign that

[18:07] it's getting close the rapture could

[18:10] happen at any moment

[18:12] so all the things that are happening in

[18:14] the world right now the peace

[18:16] with the united arab emirates and israel

[18:19] it's setting up

[18:21] in any moment the rapture could happen

[18:24] and we could be out of here let me
