[0:01] It's a deal. UN Secretary General Kofi
[0:03] Anan strikes an agreement in Baghdad to
[0:06] win the standoff over weapons
[0:08] inspections. US troops still on guard in
[0:10] the Gulf as the White House waits to see
[0:12] the agreement's fine print. And 60
[0:15] Minutes correspondent Mike Wallace goes
[0:17] behind the scenes with the Secretary
[0:19] General in Baghdad.
[0:23] This is the CBS Evening News

[1:16] possible deal breakaker. The issue was a
[1:19] time limit for inspecting the eight
[1:21] disputed presidential sites. Anan and
[1:23] the security council demanded unlimited
[1:25] free access. Saddam reportedly wanted a
[1:28] 60-day deadline. At the end of his
[1:31] three-hour meeting with Saddam, Anan
[1:33] sent word that they were on the verge of
[1:34] a breakthrough, but it was not until his
[1:37] evening meeting with the Iraqi dep
