[0:05] Tonight on Nightline, the education of
[0:08] Sarah Palin. It seems everybody wanted
[0:11] to watch her. So, after the biggest vice
[0:13] presidential debate in history, we
[0:16] rewind her five-week learning curve. And
[0:20] slow and steady, we visit one small bank
[0:23] that avoided the financial meltdown.
[0:25] How? By being plain old fashion. Plus,
[0:29] imagine W. Oliver Stone discusses his
[0:32] new film about our soon-to-be
[0:35] ex-president in a Nightline exclusive.
[0:39] From the global resources of ABC News
[0:42] with Terry Moran, Martin Bashir, and
[0:44] Cynthia McFadden in New York City, this

[0:52] Good evening. I'm Cynthia McFadden. A
[0:53] whopping 70 million viewers tuned in to
[0:56] last night's vice presidential debate.

[1:14] widely credited as the winner of last
[1:16] night's matchup, it is the Alaskan
[1:18] governor who has ignited a fuse among
[1:21] voters as John Donvan reports.
[1:24] Let's be honest about last night.
[1:26] Practically no one in America was
[1:28] watching because Joe was there or Gwen.
[1:32] That's not who they were talking about
[1:34] today.
[1:36] All over talk radio.
[1:37] >> What was it about her performance that
[1:38] you liked? I think a lot of people
[1:40] underestimated her a little bit. She's a
[1:42] pretty woman.
[1:43] And she has a good voice and she
[1:44] presents herself very well.
[1:47] No, it was Sarah. Sarah Palin and her
[1:51] Sarah Palin moments.
[1:56] Folksy-ing it u
