[0:00] that there was no chemical attack, just
[0:02] a standard attack using standard
[0:05] warheads and not very many injuries at
[0:07] that. But now, let's go back to CBS for
[0:09] the very latest on this [music]
[0:10] situation.
[0:18] [music]
[0:20] Dan Rather, CBS News in New York. as we
[0:22] continue to let roll the first picture
[0:24] shown in the United States of the Scud
[0:26] missile attack tonight on the Tel Aviv
[0:28] area of Israel. Other sections of Israel
[0:30] were hit by the Iraqi missiles uh
[0:32] including at least a couple up in the
[0:34] Hifa area. A total all over Israel of 8
[0:37] to 10. Uh three to five of the missiles
[0:39] hit in the Tel Aviv area. Here's the
[0:41] crater caused by the conventional
[0:43] warhead on this particular Scud. The
[0:45] Scuds can be equipped with a lot of

[0:54] may be that he has a somewhat larger
[0:56] conventional warhead on these Scud
[0:58] missiles than was otherwise widely
[1:00] believed. And if the Iraqis go after
[1:05] Saudi Arabia in in Saudi Arabia, the
[1:08] Saudis have Chinese ballistic missile uh
[1:11] with a megaton warhead to fire back. Uh
[1:16] now all of that we were told by Leslie
[1:19] Stall at the White House not long ago as
[1:20] we continue to look at this damage in
[1:22] Tel Aviv caused by the Scuds uh that
[1:24] some Scud missiles had been fired at
[1:26] Saudi Arabia. The US Defense Department
[1:27] had confirmed that where they were fired
[1:30] and where they hit and what damage they
[1:32] did in Saudi Arabia remains unclear at
[1:34] this hour. Now as we continue to look
