[0:20] battle breaks out over an airport seized

[0:55] Good evening. Scott's off tonight. I'm
[0:56] Jim Axelrod and this is our western
[0:58] edition. On this Memorial Day, Santa
[1:01] Barbara, remember the victims of a
[1:02] killing rampage. Six people, all
[1:05] students at the University of
[1:06] California, Santa Barbara, were stabbed
[1:08] to death or shot to death. Tomorrow,
[1:11] classes will be cancelled for a service.
[1:14] This is one of the makeshift memorials.
[1:15] This one near the scene of one of the
[1:17] shootings Friday night. This is a
[1:20] tragedy with no shortage of warning
[1:22] signals. And the question being raised
[1:23] tonight, were they missed? We have team
[1:26] coverage tonight, beginning with
[1:27] Danielle Noddingham. Danielle,
