[0:21] breaking news. Uh there's been uh a
[0:24] certain amount of speculation around for
[0:26] the last 20 minutes or so as far as
[0:28] newswires are concerned that Nuri al-
[0:30] Maliki, the Iraqi prime minister, was to
[0:32] make an important announcement. We
[0:34] thought that that was uh something to do
[0:35] with the final two cabinet posts.
[0:37] However, the speculation on the
[0:39] newswires has been uh that he was uh
[0:42] going to make an announcement concerning
[0:44] uh the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq, uh Al
[0:48] Zakawi. Uh and an aid to the Iraqi prime
[0:52] minister has told CNN uh that that
[0:55] announcement will concern the death of
[0:58] uh the leader of al-Qaeda, Abu Musab,
[1:01] the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu
[1:03] Musab al Zakawi. So once again, let me
[1:06] repeat that an aid to the Iraqi prime
[1:09] minister Nuri al- Maliki has told CNN
[1:12] that the prime minister will be
[1:13] announcing uh the death of the al-Qaeda
[1:16] chief in Iraq, Abu Musab al- Zakawi.
[1:20] CNN's John Vors is in Baghdad and has
[1:22] been following developments from there
[1:25] for the last hour or so. He's with us
