[0:58] Good evening. At the end of the most

[1:00] violent day yet in the battle between

[1:03] Israel and the Hamas government and

[1:05] Gaza, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

[1:08] arrived in Jerusalem to try to broker a

[1:10] ceasefire.

[1:12] But late today, things looked frosty

[1:15] between the Secretary and Israeli Prime

[1:17] Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Faces were

[1:20] long and comments were short. She'd just

[1:23] flown 10 hours, leaving President Obama

[1:25] behind on a tour of Cambodia. Throughout

[1:29] this day, there were rumors of peace,

[1:31] but Israel unleashed a ferocious

[1:33] bombardment of Gaza from air and sea.

[1:36] The Palestinians in Gaza fired back.

[1:39] Since this started last week, 133

[1:42] Palestinians have been killed in 1,500

[1:46] Israeli air strikes. Five Israelis have

[1:49] died after more than 1,000 rockets

[1:52] rained do
