[0:00] legislature does. And in this case, the
[0:02] legislature said it in absolutely
[0:04] unambiguous terms.
[0:08] >> I heard this. Go ahead.
[0:09] >> I heard this. I'm sorry. Go ahead, Mr.
[0:11] CBY.
[0:12] >> Well, I mean, come on. That's You're
[0:14] talking about a case two years ago where
[0:16] the people of Florida, the people of the
[0:18] country had a choice. Two different
[0:20] candidates. That kind of case is not
[0:22] going to be applied to say that that
[0:25] courts can eliminate a choice for the
[0:27] voters of New Jersey. And let's focus on
[0:29] something else that I think is extremely
[0:31] important here. If we get into a
[0:33] situation where the system starts to be
[0:35] manipulated, that is something where the
[0:37] courts may intercede. But the New Jersey
[0:39] Supreme Court clearly decided that
[0:41] nothing of the kind is happening, that
[0:43] Toriselli was out, he wanted out, and
[0:45] that the people of New Jersey have a
[0:47] voice. The other concern is, do we
[0:49] really want courts getting in and
[0:51] effectively calling the game before the
[0:54] teams even show up on the field? in
[0:56] effect saying only one team gets to play
[0:58] in the Super Bowl.
[0:59] >> It seems to me that Mr. Torcelli knew
[1:00] that the court would rule this way.
[1:02] That's why he dropped himself from the
[1:03] ticket. In other words, he created the
[1:04] vacancy knowing this would be filled in
[1:06] in a manipulative fashion. He was the
[1:08] chief manipulator, wasn't he, Mr.
[1:10] Coffee?
[1:10] >> I don't think so. I think if had wanted
[1:12] to truly manipulate this, he could have
[1:14] resigned his position in the Senate
[1:16] immediately. Democrat appoints another
[1:18] Democrat and as I understand the
[1:20] scenar
