[0:06] Saddam Hussein reportedly moving

[0:08] chemical weapons to his front lines. The

[0:10] White House says war could come at any

[0:13] time. And the Allied war machine in the

[0:15] desert awaits the word to go.

[0:21] This is the CBS Evening News. Dan Rather

[0:24] reporting. Good evening. US forces are

[0:27] poised to strike at Iraq. It's the day

[0:29] after deadline. A flurry of activity

[1:24] Thomas Foley on the Gulf that set off a

[1:27] flurry of meetings up on Capitol Hill.

[1:29] We do not know exactly what the call was

[1:31] about, and we do not know if it will set

[1:33] off any flurry of meetings here. On the

[1:35] record, the White House is saying that

[1:37] the president is quote unquote
