[1:11] began an operation at the direction of
[1:13] the president to force Saddam Hussein to
[1:16] withdraw his troops from Kuwait and to
[1:18] end his occupation of that country.
[1:21] At the direction of the president, I
[1:23] signed the execute order yesterday
[1:25] afternoon to undertake this operation
[1:28] subject to certain conditions. It was to
[1:31] begin only after we'd met the terms of
[1:33] the resol
