[0:02] This is
[0:10] CNN. This is CNN breaking
[0:15] news. President Clinton had said that he
[0:17] would work up until the last minutes of
[0:18] his presidency. About two hours left of
[0:21] the Clinton era and apparently there are
[0:22] some presidential pardons being handed
[0:24] down. With more on that, let's go to
[0:26] Kelly Wallace who's at the White House.
[0:27] Kelly? Well, that's exactly right,
[0:28] Darren. We've been waiting for those
[0:30] this morning and CNN has learned of the
[0:32] final executive actions that Mr. Clinton
[0:34] will be taking and those include these
[0:36] presidential pardons. We've been talking
[0:37] about two key Whitewater figure figures
[0:40] who had been out there requesting
[0:42] pardons. We understand and CNN has
[0:44] learned that President Clinton has
[0:46] granted a pardon for Susan McDougall.
[0:48] She was the Clinton's business partner
[0:50] back in that Arkansas land venture
[0:53] called Whitewater. She ended up serving
[0:55] some time for some felonies. She also
[0:57] served about 18 months in prison when
[0:59] she would not testify before a federal
[1:01] grand jury which was impanled by then
[1:04] independent counsel Kenneth Star. As for
[1:06] the other Whitewater figure, Webster
[1:08] Hubble, CNN has learned that Mr. Clinton
[1:11] has not not granted a pardon for him. He
[1:14] was Mrs. Clinton's law partner back in
[1:17] uh Arkansas, excuse me. He was uh
[1:20] convicted of uh number of things
[1:22] including tax evasion. He did serve
[1:24] about 15 months in prison. Again though,
[1:27] not a pardon for him. Other names that
[1:29] have been out there, Michael Milin,
[1:30] former junk bond king, Democratic
[1:33] fundraisers have been pushing for a
[1:34] pardon for him. CN
