[0:00] in this video I'm gonna show you what it
[0:02] looks like as I read a book an e-book in
[0:06] this case on the Kindle app on my iPad
[0:09] and what I think through what's going
[0:12] through my mind as I decide what to
[0:14] highlight and what not to highlight what
[0:17] you're seeing on the screen is exactly
[0:18] what I see when I read I like using the
[0:21] the white text on black because I'm
[0:24] usually reading in the late afternoons
[0:25] or evening and I once I want that bright
[0:29] light in my face so I like using the
[0:32] dark background and then I like infinite
[0:34] scroll or I just keep scrolling
[0:38] vertically forever and those are two
[0:40] settings that you can activate right
[0:42] here in the top upper right so all we
[0:45] need to explore those but basically I'm
[0:48] going to show you what a typical chapter
[0:49] looks like I've already highlighted this
[0:53] chapter just to save time but I'll tell
[0:55] you kind of what I was thinking as I as
[0:57] I looked at each highlight so this is
[1:00] the beginning of the chapter what I'll
[1:02] often do is highlight the headings so
[1:06] what I'm doing right there is I'll do it
[1:08] again for the second one put down my
[1:10] finger on the the word wait till the
[1:13] highlight begins and then just drag my
[1:15] finger until the whole sentence that I
[1:18] want to highlight is yellow and then I
[1:21] just put my finger up there's another
[1:23] way you can do it which is to select
[1:25] something like that and then you can
[1:26] click these colored circles if you want
[1:28] to need different colors but I don't use
[1:31] different colors i only use yellow to
[1:32] keep things simple and that's just a
[1:36] faster way to do it so I'll de
