[0:32] special Western States edition. Good
[0:34] evening. The law finally caught up today
[0:36] with most of the so-called Texas 7,
[0:39] almost 6 weeks after they broke out of
[0:41] prison. Four are in custody in Colorado
[0:44] tonight. Another is dead, but two more
[0:46] are still at large, heavily armed and
[0:49] very dangerous. The convict's odyssey
[0:52] began December 13th when they outwitted
[0:54] prison guards in Kennedy, Texas, and
[0:57] escaped. On Christmas Eve, they turned
[0:59] up in Irving, Texas, allegedly killing a
[1:01] police officer during a robbery. Then
[1:04] they seemed to vanish until a tip from
[1:07] the public led to today's arrests in
[1:10] Woodland Park, Colorado. CBS's Cynthia
[1:12] Bowers is there. Cynthia
[1:16] Dan, the FBI says it was that good tip
[1:19] rather than necessarily good police work
[1:21] that first led them to this rural
[1:22] mountain community more than a thousand
[1:24] miles from where the Texas 7
[1:27] escaped. Police acted on that tip this
[1:30] morning after the fugitives were spotted
[1:31] in a mobile home park in the foothills
[1:33] of the Rocky Mountains some 50 miles
[1:35] south of Denver. Police captured four of
[1:38] the seven including 30-year-old George
[1:40] Rivas, the reputed ring leader of the
[1:42] group. Also, Randy Halprit, Michael
[1:44] Rodriguez, and Joseph Garc
