[0:01] Brooke and Andre's divorce. Plus, Ali

[0:03] Mciel on ET.

[0:08] NATO steps up its bombing. The US is

[0:10] sending many more warplanes amid new

[0:13] fears that the Balkan War may be

[0:15] spreading.

[0:20] This is the CBS Evening News

[0:23] with Dan Rather reporting tonight from

[0:26] Yugoslavia.

[0:29] Good evening from Belgrade. Three full

[0:31] weeks into the Allied air war against

[0:33] Yugoslavia, and the momentum is still

[0:35] building. NATO planes are pounding

[0:38] especially hard now at Serbian fuel and

[0:40] transportation centers around Belgrade

[0:43] and throughout the country in an effort

[0:45] to, as NATO puts its grind down the

[0:47] Mallich war machine. And as NATO

[0:50] continues to work to cut off Serbian

[0:52] forces in the southern province of

[0:53] Kosovo, there are reports from there

[0:56] today of the war possibly spilling over

[0:58] a border. According to the Albanian

[1:02] government, Serb forces crossed over

[1:04] into Albania early today and exchanged

[1:06] heavy gunfire with Albanian forces. Late

[1:10] in the day, the Serb forces withdrew,

[1:12] but US Secretary of State Matlin

[1:14] Albbright in Oslo emphasized the US will

[1:17] not allow the conflict to spread into

[1:19] Albania. NATO continued its serious

[1:22] business, pounding Serbia through the

[1:25] night and into the early morning hours.

[1:27] Major oil refineries were hit once

[1:29] again. So were factories and army

[1:30] barracks. And although Serb TV showed

[1:33] these pictures of anti-aircraft fire,

[1:35] NATO reported that all of its planes had

[1:37] returned safely.

[1:39] There is no letup in NATO's air

[1:41] campaign. No letup in the Serb's

[1:43] defiance. And no letup either in these

[1:46] images of a country under attack
