[0:03] These are not people that get along
[0:05] together easily and and completely. And
[0:07] the notion that they're all sticking
[0:09] together here is something that tells
[0:12] you that this is a very strong position.
[0:15] And it's the Democrats who have to worry
[0:16] about being on the other side. So look
[0:19] ahead now. If we make another assumption
[0:22] that the president will win later this
[0:25] evening, um uh how powerful will that
[0:28] vote be in sweeping away the other
[0:30] problems that have cluttered up the
[0:33] Clinton White House, the haircut, the
[0:35] travel office, and all the the lack of
[0:37] focus and the inability to communicate.
[0:39] >> Not terribly empowerful in that respect.
[0:41] No. uh a loss would have been crushing
[0:44] as I said but the smart people around
[0:47] the president and believe me there still
[0:49] are some smart ones they understand that
[0:50] these other problems will not be swept
[0:52] away by a victory here that they need to
[0:55] be addressed on their own and that's why
[0:58] there are rumblings and I think you're
[0:59] going to see a shakeup of the White
[1:01] House staff uh fairly soon. It's been in
[1:03] the works for some time been talked
[1:05] about and now the conversations about it
[1:07] have been sped up because of these
[1:09] recent events. But those other issues
[1:11] have to do with the presidents and his
[1:13] staff's judgment, experience,
[1:16] uh, and instincts, and all of those need
[1:18] improving.
[1:19] >> But won't we see tomorrow, Kevin, great
[1:22] big bold headlines, Clinton victory,
[1:24] Clinton victory. That'll be the lead on
[1:25] all the broadcast. Won't that wipe away
[1:27] some of the the
[1:30] impression of incompetence?
[1:31] >> Well
