[0:02] Labor Day, September 5th. From ABC, this
[0:05] is World News Tonight with Peter
[0:07] Jennings. This evening, reporting from
[0:09] Washington.
[0:10] >> Good evening. The fate of Korean
[0:11] Airlines Flight 7 continues to anger,
[0:13] but also to mystify VA's numbers of
[0:15] people. Tonight, here in Washington,
[0:17] during an address from the Oval Office,
[0:19] the president will have the
[0:20] administration's latest details, at
[0:22] least those it wants to make public. Mr.

[0:47] what really happened. Secondly, he will
[0:49] play excerpts of the tapes from the
[0:51] Soviet fighter planes. The tapes he
[0:53] played yesterday for congressional
[0:54] delegation here. you play them on
[0:56] television so that we will actually be
[0:58] able to hear the Soviet pilots during
[1:00] those final moments before they shot
[1:02] down the plane. Mr. Reagan himself will
[1:04] not give us a direct translation but
[1:06] will paraphrase what the Soviet pilots
[1:08] have said in Russian. And third, he will
[1:10] outline Peter some of the steps that he
[1:12] hopes the world will take to further
[1:14] isolate the Soviet Union because of
[1:15] this. Mainly st
