[0:08] good morning and welcome to our new

[0:10] series wednesday

[0:11] in the word dealing with a subject

[0:13] matter that seems to be on everyone's

[0:15] mind

[0:16] i've had multiple people ask me pastor

[0:19] what's happening in the world today

[0:21] what's going on is this the end times

[0:24] uh is something going to happen is is

[0:27] the vaccine for cobalt 19 is that the

[0:30] mark of the beast is

[0:31] this going on or this is going on and

[0:33] they've got a lot of questions about

[0:35] the end of the world and it's always

[0:38] been on mankind's mind

[0:40] what's going to happen in the end and

[0:43] people have been preparing for a long

[0:45] time there are people who

[0:47] we know as they're called preppers and

[0:48] they're preparing

[0:50] uh for a doomsday type event and they're

[0:53] gathering weapons and gathering

[0:55] food and preparing for that there's

[0:57] people today that are preparing for

[0:59] the zombie apocalypse and they're so

[1:01] concerned about

[1:03] preparing for that there are people that

[1:05] are preparing preparing preparing and

[1:08] it can be overwhelming thinking about

[1:10] the end

[1:11] of the world because i have to tell you

[1:13] the bible does tell us this world will

[1:15] end it will end and the best book in the

[1:18] new testament

[1:20] in fact there's only one in the new

[1:21] testament dealing with prophecy

[1:23] and that is the book of revelation

[1:26] notice i said

[1:27] revelation not revelations it's not

[1:30] multiple revelations it's one

[1:32] revelation in fact in verse number one

[1:34] of revelation it says this the

[1:36] revelation of

[1:37] jesus christ which god gave unto him

[1:41] to show unto his servants things which

[1:44] must shortly come to pass

[1:46] and he said and signified it by his

[1:48] angel unto his servant

[1:50] john and so we're looking forward to

[1:52] diving into this series and

[1:54] answering some of the questions that

[1:56] people have

[1:58] now the book of revelation was pinned by

[2:01] john the beloved and it's believed to be

[2:03] pinned around 80 96

[2:05] is when it's believed to be pen and so

[2:07] we're excited to dive into this book

[2:11] my goal is to take you through the book

[2:13] of revelation

[2:14] and show you through each passage

[2:18] the revelation of what this book is

[2:20] about and it's found in verse

[2:22] one it's the revelation of jesus christ

[2:24] the book of revelation

[2:26] is all about jesus and his interacting

[2:30] with mankind and in the

[2:33] past in the present and in the future

[2:36] when you look at the book of revelation

[2:38] there are multiple views that you can

[2:40] take but the best view to take

[2:42] is the biblical view now in chapter one

[2:45] it will tell us

[2:46] about who we're looking at why we're

[2:48] looking at that person

[2:50] when we're looking at that person so

[2:51] we're excited to dive into this i hope

[2:53] you are too

[2:54] i know there's a lot of questions about

[2:56] this book uh

[2:58] but in fact if you read the book of

[2:59] revelation it actually tells us

[3:01] there's a blessing to those that come

[3:04] it's the only book that i found that has

[3:06] a direct blessing to those

[3:08] who read it who hear it and obey the

[3:11] things that are contained they're in it

[3:12] so

[3:12] we're excited to talk about this book so

[3:16] over the next weeks possibly months

[3:20] we're going to be studying this book in

[3:22] our wednesday in the word series now i

[3:23] want you to do me a favor

[3:25] i know that some of you are are not

[3:29] technologically savvy but some of you

[3:32] are

[3:32] and so i encourage you share this

[3:34] encourage people

[3:36] to go to our youtube channel and

[3:38] subscribe

[3:39] click on the notification button every

[3:41] time new content is released on that

[3:44] channel you'll get a notification on

[3:45] your phone

[3:46] or on your device that'll let you know

[3:49] that something new from bible baptist

[3:51] church has been released on our youtube

[3:53] channel

[3:53] so i encourage you to do that also we're

[3:55] going to do our best each week

[3:57] to have notes that go with each video

[4:00] that kind of help you

[4:01] now most of those notes are going to be

[4:03] you're going to need to do some work

[4:05] yourself

[4:05] you're going to have to fill in some

[4:07] blanks you're going to have to follow

[4:08] along with it

[4:09] and so i encourage you to take part if

[4:11] you want to know

[4:12] what's going to happen in the end you

[4:15] need to be a part of this series

[4:17] so i encourage you every wednesday look

[4:19] for it

[4:20] now we're going to do our best to get

[4:21] them released every wednesday morning

[4:24] we're our team's putting it together

[4:25] we're going to try to have it every

[4:26] wednesday morning

[4:27] available for you but i want to

[4:30] encourage you to

[4:31] learn and to study the book of

[4:33] revelation

[4:34] now it's not for the casual reader there

[4:37] are a lot of things in there there's

[4:38] in fact a lot of symbolic there's a lot

[4:42] of truth

[4:43] there's a lot of real evidence and we're

[4:45] going to do our best to help

[4:47] show you biblically what those things

[4:49] are and to be able to help you to know

[4:51] what's going to happen by the way in the

[4:53] book of revelation there are three

[4:55] different

[4:56] groups of people that we're really going

[4:57] to talk about and so i look forward to

[4:59] sharing that with you

[5:00] there's an exciting thing that happens

[5:02] at the beginning of chapter 4

[5:04] that we're going to talk about real soon

[5:06] and by the way right now

[5:08] we are in the last days you say well

[5:11] preacher it says the last stage now i

[5:13] want to know to

[5:14] point something out to you and then

[5:15] we'll kind of talk about it wrap it up

[5:17] today

[5:18] but something for you to think about in

[5:20] verse number one

[5:21] the bible says that these things must

[5:23] shortly come to pass

[5:25] now you may be saying well preacher was

[5:27] it didn't you say it was written in 80

[5:29] 96

[5:29] i did i said it was written

[5:31] approximately around that time

[5:33] but here's the thing you have to

[5:34] remember the bible talks about a

[5:36] thousand years with us

[5:38] is as a day unto the lord so when the

[5:41] lord gave this prophecy

[5:43] to john 2 000 years ago

[5:48] it's only been a couple days and so if

[5:51] it's only been a couple days

[5:53] the statement is true it'll shortly come

[5:56] to pass

[5:56] soon and very soon the book of

[5:59] revelation is going to be fulfilled

[6:01] and i'm excited uh to know the truth

[6:06] because the truth of the book of

[6:07] revelation is a comfort

[6:09] to any believer's heart the truth of the

[6:11] book of revelation is a challenge

[6:14] to the unbeliever's heart the truth of

[6:16] the book of revelation ought to motivate

[6:18] you and i

[6:19] to know christ on a more intimate level

[6:22] so i look forward to diving in this

[6:24] series come on send your questions

[6:26] about the book of revelation i'll do my

[6:28] best to answer them i encourage you to

[6:30] think about this though

[6:32] jesus is coming soon the next thing on

[6:34] god's prophetic calendar

[6:36] as we've read throughout scripture is

[6:38] the rapture of the church

[6:40] we're going to talk about that in the

[6:41] upcoming lessons and what that details

[6:43] but i want you to be reading chapter one

[6:46] the first

[6:47] chapter uh we're not going to get

[6:49] through chapter one in one video i can

[6:51] promise you that

[6:52] but i want to encourage you to start

[6:53] reading the book of revelation in fact

[6:55] the bible tells us

[6:57] that verse number three blessed is he

[6:59] that readeth

[7:00] and they that hear the words of the

[7:01] prophecy and keep those things which are

[7:03] written therein

[7:04] for the time is at hand so reading the

[7:07] book of revelation sometimes is scary

[7:09] sometimes it's overwhelming but the

[7:11] bible says you're blessed

[7:13] if you read it and you hear it so i

[7:16] encourage you

[7:17] read it but also tune into the videos to

[7:20] hear it and then also to keep those

[7:22] things that are in

[7:23] so i encourage you invite people we're

[7:25] going to try to get this one out as

[7:26] quick as we can to share it with

[7:28] everyone

[7:28] and so start inviting people to watch

[7:30] this series get them encouraged about it

[7:33] let them know that there's some truth

[7:34] coming out and so we look forward to

[7:36] seeing those future

[7:38] events unfolding for us i'm excited

[7:42] about this study i hope you are too

[7:44] and we look forward to seeing you next

[7:45] time on wednesdays

[7:47] in the word don't forget church services

[7:49] tonight here at bible baptist church
