[0:03] people who were evacuated to Texas from

[0:06] the New Orleans disaster zone are slowly

[0:09] making their way to higher ground

[0:11] tonight as powerful Hurricane Rita

[0:13] closes in on the Gulf Coast. Good

[0:16] evening, I'm Bob Schaefer. We're

[0:17] devoting most of our broadcast to this

[1:15] coast. Rita did weaken some today to a

[1:18] category four, but it remains an

[1:20] extremely dangerous storm with sustained

[1:23] winds now of 145 miles an hour.

[1:26] Hurricane warnings are up along much of

[1:28] the coast of Texas and Louisiana

[1:31] tonight. The latest projections show

[1:33] Rita heading for landfall sometime

[1:36] tomorrow around Galveastston, the most

[1:38] likely strike zone there in red. We've

[1:41] deployed the full resources of CBS News

[1:43] correspondents, producers, camera crews

[1:46] all along the coas
