[0:00] good morning Bible Baptist Church family

[0:02] it's Friday morning and it's time for

[0:05] the word of encouragement today and so

[0:07] I'm so thankful that you tuned in this

[0:09] morning looking forward to a great time

[0:11] as we wrap up the book of Philemon today

[0:13] but so excited about what God has in

[0:15] store for us this morning it is Friday

[0:18] so that's exciting because Sunday's just

[0:20] around the corner and we look forward to

[0:22] seeing you Sunday at Bible Baptist

[0:24] Church in the drive-in service in the

[0:27] morning and then in the evening service

[0:28] in the building and this time let's dive

[0:31] right into the book of Philemon we're in

[0:34] the last five verses verses 20 through

[0:36] 25 and so let's read them together this

[0:38] morning yeah brother let me have joy of

[0:41] thee in the Lord refresh my bowels in

[0:44] the Lord having confidence in thy

[0:45] obedience I wrote unto thee knowing that

[0:48] thou wilt also do more than I say but

[0:51] withal prepare me also a lodging for I

[0:54] trust that through your prayers I shall

[0:56] be given unto you there salute Thea

[0:58] Patras my fellow prisoner in Christ

[1:00] Jesus Marcus Aristarchus demas Lucas my

[1:04] fellow laborers grace of our Lord Jesus

[1:07] Christ be with your spirit amen

[1:09] as we wrap up Philemon today we know

[1:12] that yesterday we talked about

[1:13] forgiveness and Philemon forgiving

[1:16] Onesimus for what he had done and the

[1:19] Apostle Paul here he encourages him let

[1:21] me have joy of the in the Lord refreshed

[1:23] my vows encouraged me he says in the

[1:26] Lord having confidence in this so be thy

[1:28] obedience I wrote unto thee knowing that

[1:30] that would also do more than I say he

[1:32] Paul knew that Onesimus would be

[1:36] received by Philemon because of

[1:37] Philemon's relationship with the Lord

[1:40] but also you'll notice that he also

[1:42] encourages him that he would prepare for

[1:46] him a lodging that through your prayers

[1:48] I shall be given unto you you know it's

[1:50] amazing when you stop and consider

[1:52] Philemon and think about the things that

[1:55] are going on there in that text because

[1:57] Philemon reveals some other important

[2:00] truths for us this morning yes the great

[2:02] truth we learned yesterday about

[2:04] forgiveness versus bitterness and

[2:06] receiving someone who back who's done

[2:08] you've home but yet we find here at the

[2:11] the chapters some interesting thoughts

[2:12] the Apostle Paul says but withal prepare

[2:15] me also a lodging for I trust that

[2:17] through your prayers I shall be given

[2:18] unto you he knew that finally min was

[2:21] praying for him but also will find in

[2:24] this text that the Apostle Paul could

[2:26] not do the work of the ministry fully on

[2:29] his own he needed other fellow laborers

[2:32] and fellow helpers in the work so here

[2:34] we have Philemon who's helping him and

[2:36] providing him lodging we also have a

[2:38] Patras who's his fellow prisoner in

[2:40] Christ Jesus Markus

[2:42] Aristarchus Dimas Lucas my fellow

[2:44] laborers now I know some of you this

[2:46] morning you remember something about

[2:48] Dimas you're remembering that there's

[2:50] another epistle that it says that demas

[2:52] hath forsaken me having loved this

[2:54] present world

[2:55] you see even those that get involved in

[2:57] serving the Lord have to make a daily

[2:59] decision to follow God here in Philemon

[3:03] we have a listing of those that were

[3:05] helpers with them Markus Aristarchus

[3:07] Dimas Lucas my fellow laborers there are

[3:10] people involved in the work of the

[3:11] ministry in other words the church

[3:12] ministry is more than the pastor it

[3:15] involves more people and you and I need

[3:19] to be fellow laborers we need to work

[3:21] together for the cause of Christ and so

[3:23] Philemon teaches us some important

[3:26] truths about our relationships with

[3:28] others but also that every person has a

[3:30] part to play and so let me encourage you

[3:33] have you found your part today and how

[3:36] to serve in your church do you know what

[3:38] you need to do to get involved do you

[3:40] know who you need to what do you need to

[3:42] do in order to be a helper and a laborer

[3:44] in the church maybe it's working on the

[3:46] cleaning crew maybe it's working in a

[3:49] Sunday School class or putting things

[3:52] together for the secretary job or

[3:54] working in the choir whatever it may be

[3:56] being involved in special music I

[3:58] encourage you this morning find a place

[4:01] to labor alongside other believers not

[4:04] labor alone but labor alongside other

[4:06] believers and so finally men it reminds

[4:10] us of this truth that the grace of our

[4:11] Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit

[4:13] amen that you and I need grace from the

[4:16] Lord to work with people sometimes

[4:18] people are frustrating sometimes people

[4:20] can give you trouble

[4:22] with the Lord's help we can work with

[4:24] anybody and so I remind you of that

[4:27] truth this morning but it's Friday and I

[4:30] know you're getting ready to go into the

[4:32] weekend and hopefully we'll see you on

[4:33] Sunday at the church house but today

[4:38] here's here's a thought that I'd like to

[4:40] leave you with you are important to the

[4:44] work of the ministry every single one of

[4:47] you watching this video this morning

[4:49] you're important I know it's been

[4:52] difficult these last few months have not

[4:56] been in the service watching online some

[5:00] have struggled with that some have not

[5:03] been as faithful as they should have

[5:05] been and I understand I understand for

[5:09] some of you to come back to services and

[5:12] be back in the building it's gonna take

[5:14] some time because of health concerns and

[5:16] health reasons I want you to know I

[5:18] understand and I love you and we want to

[5:21] be there to help you and minister to you

[5:23] but I do believe this God's church needs

[5:27] to move forward I believe that God wants

[5:30] us to get back into our building and get

[5:33] back to having Sunday school and having

[5:35] services like you once was and spending

[5:39] that time together studying the Word of

[5:41] God in the sunday school hour I look

[5:44] forward to that happening here very very

[5:46] soon in the next few weeks as the Lord

[5:49] allows us to transition into the next

[5:52] phase of opening our church but those of

[5:56] you who are concerned I understand those

[6:00] of you who don't understand why other

[6:02] people are so concerned I understand

[6:05] your side too I understand your feelings

[6:08] and your thoughts about the matter but

[6:10] here's the important truth we are to

[6:14] labor together for the cause of Christ

[6:17] don't get upset with somebody because

[6:19] they respond differently than you to the

[6:22] timeline of the church reopening but

[6:25] instead pray for one another pray for

[6:30] them that God would give them direction

[6:32] pray for your pastor

[6:34] and the Deacons and trustees and

[6:37] leadership of our church as we seek the

[6:39] Lord in the Lord's timing about the

[6:42] opening of our church pray for those in

[6:46] our community who have been thinking

[6:49] about God during this time and maybe

[6:52] will walk into our church building and

[6:55] get the opportunity to hear the gospel

[6:58] and have their life change for eternity

[7:02] we can't do this alone

[7:04] we need the Lord's help number one but

[7:08] number two we need you yes you Bible

[7:12] says that the church that we're one body

[7:15] every person's got a different part

[7:18] we've got a right foot a left foot right

[7:22] hand a left hand shoulders ribs kneecaps

[7:28] we need your own so let me challenge you

[7:32] today to look at the end of Philemon and

[7:35] realize this even the great Apostle Paul

[7:37] needed fellow laborers to do the work of

[7:40] the ministry and your pastor needs you I

[7:44] need you to pray I need you to

[7:47] participate I need you to get involved

[7:50] in the work of the ministry because at

[7:53] the end of the day our church our goal

[7:57] should be to honor God and to help

[8:00] people to honor God and to help people

[8:04] and in our honoring God every ministry

[8:08] that we are involved in that Bible

[8:09] Baptist Church that helps people comes

[8:13] from that result of honoring God I guess

[8:17] you could say it's part of our purpose

[8:19] statement to honor God and to help

[8:23] others and as we honor God and the

[8:26] things of his word as a strong church

[8:29] we're gonna help this lost and dying

[8:31] world we're gonna help other believers

[8:35] we're gonna help each other to live for

[8:39] the cause of Christ so today we need you

[8:43] don't stop don't quit

[8:47] back in the fight this coming Sunday

[8:50] maybe you've been struggling being in

[8:53] the driving service maybe you've

[8:56] struggled watching online why not this

[8:59] Sunday recommit I'm gonna do my best

[9:02] this week to be at the Lord's house on

[9:05] Sunday I'm going to do my best to be in

[9:09] the services this coming Sunday and see

[9:13] what God will do with your desire pray

[9:16] for this upcoming Sunday pray for the

[9:18] livestream ministry pray for one another

[9:22] and we look forward to seeing you this

[9:25] next time again thank you for tuning in

[9:28] to the word of encouragement today I

[9:30] hope and pray it's been an encouragement

[9:32] it's been an encouragement to this

[9:35] preacher to know that you're watching

[9:37] have a great day and Lord willing I'll

[9:40] see you on Sunday and we'll have a great

[9:43] time of fellowship together may God

[9:46] bless you and your family and we'll see

[9:49] you on Sunday
