[0:42] to drop out as the Democratic Party's
[0:44] Senate candidate. Behind in the polls
[0:46] and facing ethics problems, Torselli
[0:49] ended his re-election bid today, just
[0:51] five weeks prior to the election. The
[0:53] legal deadline for a candidate to
[0:55] withdraw in New Jersey is September
[0:57] 16th.
[0:58] Sacharias Masawi's day in court is on
[1:01] hold until next spring. The accused 9/11
[1:03] conspirators trial now pushed back for
[1:05] another year until June 30th, 2003. The
[1:09] judge says the delay is necessary to let
[1:11] him prepare a proper defense. Mousawi
[1:13] plans to defend himself.
[1:16] The death toll in the tragic African
[1:18] ferry accident continues to rise. With
[1:20] nearly 1,000 dead, it now appears
[1:22] hundreds more are unaccounted for.
