[0:11] today, but look like he's having a great

[0:14] time. Thanks for being with us. Town

[0:16] hall at 6 and we'll see you at 11. Good

[0:45] >> From ABC. This is World News [music]

[0:49] Sunday. Here's Deborah Roberts.

[0:52] >> Good evening. In the cold reaches of

[0:54] Montana tonight, this Palm Sunday,

[0:57] normally a day of quiet celebration, was

[0:59] overshadowed by the crisis just a few

[1:02] miles away. The armed standoff between

[1:04] federal agents and the group called the

[1:06] Freeman is now a week old. There's still

[1:09] no sign of a breakthrough, but ABC News

[1:11] has learned the two sides are talking to

[1:14] each other. ABC's Carol Lynn is there.

[1:18] The Freeman spent a quiet day on the

[1:20] ranch after a series of family reunions

[1:22] over the weekend. FBI agents had allowed

[1:25] family onto the ranch to help convince

[1:27] their fugitive relatives to surrender.

[1:30] One relative who spent the day with the

[1:32] Freeman says the fugitives are

[1:34] negotiating almost daily with the FBI

[1:36] and making specific demands. One demand

[1:39] that only federal authorities handle

[1:41] their criminal cases and the freemen

[1:43] insist on determining how those cases

[1:45] are to be tried.
